Astrology/Numerology and Spirituality?
Some thoughts that could show connection between Gyan and astrology/numerology:

The law of karma is one of the prime movers of the world. Souls and matter interact based on this law. Souls are pro-active and reactive while matter is only reactive in nature.

Souls act based on their own past sanskars/personality traits and their actions are also influenced by the situtation around and also the pending karmic accounts. The resulting action/event is a natural consequence and is predictable.

Since every event is caused by a previous event and is a result of laws of nature (physical and metaphysical), every event is predictable. When we understand the cyclic nature of time, we see that the entire set of events is fixed and repeats in a clockwork manner.

All the objects in this universe influence other objects in some manner (gravitational, vibrational). This entire set of objects therefore goes through the same set of events during the cycle of time. Therefore, there is mathematical precision to the process in which events unfold.

Empirically, it should be possible to detect patterns in numbers/planets and match them with existing events and show a relationship. This implies that prediction of events is possible.

Going beyond the limited and the unlimited...
"Children, you have to go beyond the limited and the unlimited." - Dad.

This probably means wrapping up into the seed stage. No thoughts of the limited level... and no thoughts at the unlimited kind (the cycle, the whole world family, gyan or churning or yoga or whatever)... just experience of complete fullness of the seed stage.

Hmmm...

The mind of God
The greatest form of yoga is exploring God's personality...

How does God think?
What is His intellect like?
What are His sanskaras like... His personality traits?
What do His words mean?
What does He really intend to say?

Ah the delight of knowing God! The thrill!! The ecstacy!!!

Sisters and the fortune of easy dharana
Interesting quote from PG Wodehouse: "At the age of eleven or thereabouts women acquire a poise and an ability to handle difficult situations which a man, if he is lucky, manages to achieve somewhere in the later seventies. P. G. Wodehouse, Uneasy Money"

The Spiritual Army discussed this aspect today... this holds good especially in Bharat where the society imposes the virtues and these turn out to be such a saving from the karmic perspective. But they have plenty of rough situations to undergo as well...

Maybe souls often swap genders in the end of the cycle to get both sides of the coin... interesting.

Creativity by Choice
Very often 'creativity, under fire'... sums up as 'necessity is the mother of invention'.

And yet i feel, this need not be so. When we are relaxed, we can be very creative. Little children are hyper-creative without any pressures or expectations.

'Creativity by choice' is a great motivator. If i decide to focus my thoughts on a particular idea - not necessarily because someone told me to, but because i'd like to - then there is a downpour of ideas...

The mind is immensely creative all the while. i may visualise/anticipate/worry about things/ideas/situations that do not exist. i may dwell in my past, i may conjure many possible futures...

When i harness this energy at will, life turns out to be a great game. When i let external pressures dictate my creativity, well... then i'm being driven... and not really in the driver's seat. Either ways, its my choice of how i wish to lead my life.

Badminton... with thoughts...
An Angel shared:

> Om shanti,
> Like to share the following with you all written by my dad. Thank you.
>
> Hurricanes, t.storms have
> Become common in life.
> Peace is broken to pieces
> Energy getting depleted
> Meaning of life is unanswered
> I craved for peace
> I cried for shelter
> heard a gentle voice
> BETA;
> Life is for giving
> joyful life is your birthright
> attachments are diseases
> excuses are lies
> know your limits to go beyond
> less expectations...less disappointments
> stop looking at others
> to be no body but yourself
> hold my hand...I am with you
> YOU ARE NOT ALONE IN THE WORLD

And a response...

Some inspirations from our common Dad... additional perspectives that He
may offer...

At the centre of the storms
i show you the place of calm...
From the broken pieces, i show you the original picture
and lo with your magic wish, it has become whole again!
i have come to recharge You my dearest one,
i show you the meaning which none has ever been able to see...
i give you happiness and the understanding that bringeth peace...
Your presence is now a protection for the world
i urge you, beseech you , remind you my beloved one
my child,
Life is expression. Expressing your nature...truly...
you are peace. you are love. you are bliss.
clouds do come... and darkness does fall
alloys do cover your pristine beauty...
And yet, know well that you are unlimited in your qualities...
Sit on the pyre of knowledge and what is not true, will burn away...
You are the greatest one. You need not expect anything...
Victory, fame, love, truth, bliss... everything is already yours anyway
It was... and so shall it remain eternally... you only need to recognize yourself
Look at everyone...with love and compassion...and then look at me so that...
they too see the forgotten way...
give me your hand... i need you...
i need you to change this world...

Inspiration from some words from a dad... and some thoughts from another dad...

Service through the mind
An Angel asked...mentioning that some great soul had said...
"...we should not (or, was it, we do not need to ?....) send vibrations to the souls with whom we have a bondage... when we focus on our own stage and keep improving ourselves, the vibrations would reach them and they might change."

And the following was the response:

i understand what you are saying... in these matters there are variety thoughts from variety souls... anyway, our stage is what matters most... if we just focus on our stage everything works out well... (when i change, the world will truly change).

Having good wishes for the whole world is our nature... we do not really have to focus on anyone... and when we truly have a very powerful stage and have no attachments, then we can truly serve others souls like Brahma Baba used to give searchlight...

When are stage is not Bap Samaan, we only prolong our attachments in the name of service... why should i serve only one soul... why not the so many more souls who are in the same plight... it is just attachment is it not? We are attached to bondages, to old sanskars too...even though we think we don't like them... actually, we can't bear to separate from them... that is why they continue to trouble... Baba says, if you let go... you will be free.

Copying Baba's actions are easy, but not useful unless we copy the intentions and preparations and the stage also...just some thoughts...

Defamation of Religion

The defamation of religion that is mentioned in the Gita is a remarkable event. The original eternal deity religion (the culture of life in paradise/heaven/golden age/satyuga) goes through the entropy process and reaches a level when it forgets its stage...

Role consciousness and later body consciousness become the norm. Negativity and waste develop, sorrow arrives and prayer begins...

The defamation aspect comes because in the name of the same religion, utter irreligiousness (meaning distance from the original qualities and nature of the religion or way of life) prevails.

God is prayed to and praised and yet insulted in the same breath. The activities that are meant to take souls towards God now become the ones that take them further away...

Would you like to sigh that you were an ordinary worm?
Would you like to cry that you are helpless, trapped in a coccoon?
Would you like to sing that you will be a flying glorious butterfly?
Would you like to skeptically dismiss all of the above as fancy poetry?
Would you like to appreciate all of the above as life?

Cyclic Time

Wherever we look around us, we find that nature operates in a cyclical fashion. There is reason for every change but there are different kinds of changes and different reasons for these changes.

From the start to the end of any instance of a given lifecycle (system under observation), the changes are typically incremental with enough inputs of unpredictability to make it unique. Occasionally there are changes that are large and wreak havoc with the souls facing these changes. The reasons for these areas of unpredictability can be only seen from the bigger picture of things which impact the system from outside. No system under observation is in isolation, so changes in areas outside the system bring about these "unpredictable/illogical changes". i think you must be familiar with the concept of the "Butterfly effect". A butterfly flapping its wings in China could trigger a chain of events that give rise to a thunderstorm in the US...

Examples abound: take your own daily life.

When we understand life from the karmic perspective, we see that the world operates on karmic forces and karma is a prime mover. Events occur on the basis of multiple souls having the possibility of various karmic accounts cleared. This causes many events to happen in an inexplicable way because, we can only explain the forces that we are aware of. An earthquake or an accident may be fatal to a few, traumatic to some, impactful for some others and a non-event for most. Only the big picture and understanding the natural laws at that level can explain these uncertainities at a theoretical level.

Then we find that the transition point between lifecycles are fundamentally different from the actual lifecycles. Lifecycles are continuous graphs. Transitions are singularities.

* Order to Chaos is continuous. Chaos to Order is singular.
* Birth to Death is continuous. Death to Birth is singular.
* A project lifecycle is continuous. Moving to next project is singular.
* Rainwater movement to the ocean is continuous. Becoming rainwater again is singular...
* Barren trees in Winter to Blossoms of spring... everywhere, unless we know the explanation from beyond the system of observation, the singularity is inexplicable.

The interesting thing is that when we observe any system, it is still a subset of the total(universal) system. The universal system is unobservable from an Einstenien viewpoint as the observers are part of the system and therefore have only relative understanding. Only observers outside any system can have absolute understanding of the whole system.

The Universal system has one constant detached observer. God. God is also involved for sometime in the system but retains the big picture by staying beyond. Those who have access to God, relate to him from their subjective & relative perspectives and so do not get the possibility of the same absolute understanding. Whether God wants to get the absolute understanding by observing all events and relating the reasons from a science (material) perspective is a different question. Arguably, it is unlilkely as God does not involve in inconsequential thinking. (Called Asochta...)

The Universal system has another speciality. Unlike other cycles, this cycle is bounded by finite time and space. Understanding the finiteness of time and space provides a beautiful insight... events(4D points in space-time) are finite and therefore must repeat in cycles of both space and time.

The transition between two cycles as always, is singular. It is logical. It is karmic. It is a singularity and is undefined by examination of the continuous changes at the material plane. The end of the universal drama is naturally wrapped up karmically to reach its point of logical start.

So what about pioneer and voyager? Matter will come back with singularity of karmic forces. What makes a poor person be born as rich? Or a rich person suddenly becoming bankrupt? Or you to travel to US on short notice on official grounds and 'incidentally' give a course on spirituality to a stranger? Nature thrives on karmic singularities. Karma is the prime mover. And therefore the statement... we are master creators... creators of our destiny and creators of the world in which we live.

Is the above the final word on the topic? No. Is it a reasonable and practical level of understanding of how the world works? To me it is.
